That said, my doubts where soon and easily pushed aside. Now in full honesty, as soon as I did send my nerdy compliments, I had a moment of huge embarassment – both because I’m relatively new to reaching out to authors as well as being an awkward potato with people in general, and also because for a very short moment I worried that maybe I’d jumped the gun and gushed about something before reaching the end. And so it was that I kicked off my summer with the Raven’s Shadow trilogy, whose first installment, Blood Song, got me so enthralled that I reached out to the author to share my excitement for his work, while still reading and having barely neared the end! I’m using the US edition covers for my review since these are the ones I own, but know that there are a few different versions out there – they all have one thing in common though: they are all *Bad Ass*.Ī friend of mine sent me this trilogy as a bday present last summer but due to my usual back and forth between Scotland and Italy, I had to leave them behind and wait till I was back and untill I had most of my uni work out of the way.
